Gah! I'm like, practically out of breath because I was so dang worried. I was pretty positive Tony would be okay, but then I got really SUPER scared for Jimmy. I thought he was dead and I was honestly going to cry because awww Jimmy. :( He's my favorite because he's so nerdy and awkward and weird and I love him. (You know, my favorite along with Abby and Tony and Ziva and McGee and Gibbs and Ducky. I have trouble narrowing down a specific favorite.)

Anyway. I absolutely LOVE your characterization of Tony in this one--it's completely spot on. And Gibbs, too, there at the end. And even Ziva; all you had to say was she took Whitman down and I had this whole mental image of our crazy Ninja chick running in with guns a'blazing.

Ah! Jimmy is one of my favourites, as well (one of, because they're all amazing, so I cycle through favourites). It's been an interesting experience writing for him -- when I started the scene in the Chapter 12, I didn't know he would slip in and steal the show like that. :P

I'm glad you enjoyed Tony's characterization -- I enjoy seeing his more serious side, and I thought this would be a good opportunity to explore how he's feeling about some of the past events on the show they haven't gone into much detail on.

Ziva gets her moment to go all crazy Ninja chick on Whitman next chapter. ;)

"Something like that"

Oh he's such a big fibber, lol. Very good chapter. Yay for more.

Seriously intense. Loved it. Loved it lots. Tony had too many people to protect in that room, and three of them were the 'bad guys.' He doesn't cope well with failure, no. I wonder, does Gibbs realize that 'everybody else' includes the three original hostage-takers. I'd imagine so, but it will be interesting to see how that plays out.

You've been imparting occasional information with regard to the approximate date of your next post. Any hint this time?

Tony and Gibbs will get more scenes together where they begin to think about that one. ;)

I'm glad you enjoyed this chapter! I'm hoping to be able to post the next chapter at some point this weekend - if my schedule allows for it, Saturday; but by Sunday, for sure. =)

Wow, that was intense. I'm really glad that you didn't kill Tony or Jimmy because I was really afraid that one or both of them might have ended up dead by the end of this chapter.

I really like how you showed how Tony's reached his breaking point, though I really hope that he doesn't break because there's never a guarantee of coming back from that, it was pretty original.

Gibbs manages his team efficiently because he doesn’t treat them all the same. He takes into account their strengths, weaknesses, and abilities-assigning the work and changing his attitude accordingly.

That is probably my favorite line in the whole chapter and so true, a really good leader takes into account the people who work under them and assigns tasks accordingly. While Gibbs may have an unorthodox approach, one that shows just how he earned the second B, you can't deny that he knows how to get the results.

I'm glad you enjoyed it! Writing a longer, emotionally-charged & character-centric chapter like this is a newer experience for me - but an enjoyable one. Tony's character is one of my favourites, so I love it when they show his more serious side as well (it brings much more depth to the character, which I love).

*g*
That is exactly how I see Gibbs -- unorthodox, occasionally deserving that second 'B' -- but because he takes the people working for him into account, he gets results.
