Faust shrugs the weight of the heavy sack off her shoulders, standing next to See-More, out in front of the entrance to the HIVE Five's hideout. The expression on her face was unreadable; she'd never planned to see this place again, and in fact, she'd been dreading it for a long time, and now here she was, a sackful of stolen goods in her hands, ( Read more... )

"Yep," he said, hanging onto his own sackful of goodies that he had stolen along with her, and he glanced over at her curiously, wondering if she felt nervous or if she really was all right. Deciding it was better not to question her, he reached out to the door to the hideout.

Faust's eyebrows twitch, and the headrub turns into a noogie. "It's not a nickname, twerp, it's my name," she says, grumbling. She's pointedly ignoring Gizmo's no touchies policy.

And sure enough, it's that display that convinces him above all else that this is in fact the Jinx he knows. Just... in a different body.

He can barely hold himself back. "You're back!" Bear hug? :D?

"I am!" She doesn't think to tell him to stop, so the sudden SQUEEZE catches her off guard. She can vaguely feel something in her chest popping, and thanks her lucky stars nobody's going to notice any broken ribs before she heals them.

"I - appreciate . . . the enthusiasm, Mammoth . . . but a little air might be helpful . . . at some point," she says, wincing.

Far as he knows, if he keeps this up, it would just incur her wrath, and, well. She hasn't been gone long enough for him to know that he doesn't like wrath. So he lets go.

"This is great! Now we just need to see more of Billy and Wicked and we've got the whole team back together again!" The enthusiasm isn't gone, of course.

"What, did they turn antisocial when I left or something?" She pauses, blinks. "Or, well, did Billy turn antisocial?" Because, of course, Kid Wicked was more like she used to be, and tended to be antisocial anyway.

Faust approves of enthusiasm! Enthusiasm is good! Although she kinda wishes she didn't have to be pleased with Mammoth's enthusiasm and healing her ribcage at the same time.

"I just haven't seen either of 'em around for a while." There's a slight frown, but it's gone quickly. "But now that you're back we can work on getting them back and we can all be together again!" :D? :D? Bueller?

Not that Mammoth can really notice the healing thing, nor did he pay much attention during the initial crushing. He just figured Jinx-Faust could handle it.

See-More watched as Faust and the other HIVE members went back and fourth; he would contribute, but he felt it was best that he stood quiet and let her explain herself and to get reacquainted with their friends. He took off his leather jacket and put it on a nearby chair, along with his bag of goodies.

Ghost handed See-More a glass, then poured some wine in it.

"Might as well give it to you and Billy first, since it's a bit loud in their corner of the room."

"Whoa. Sweet!" he grinned, and took a sip of wine. "Man, I can't think of the last time we opened up a bottle of wine."

"Wine like this is meant for special occasions," said Ghost. "Beer and other hard liquor is more appropriate for everyday drinking."

Why yes, the albino was a snob in his tastes, and in his sense of drinking etiquette. However, it couldn't be denied that it was always a good thing when he decided to share his personal stash.

"This is true," he said as he took another sip; small sips, since See-More never was one to hold his liquor too well. "Gotta say, it's definitely an appropriate moment to bring it out!"
