Sixty Fourth Growth Spurt: Just Wondering...

Well, I don't know what sort of holiday yesterday was supposed to be, but the bangs from the fireworks were a bit of a bother, especially when it seemed like they were being set off at close range all over the place.  And the smoke wasn't welcome either.

And people seem to be getting sick, well it is getting colder, but it's still pretty sudden for ( Read more... )

At least it was pretty. Right?

Maybe it's a curse? ...but there have been others, too. There are never two curses on the same day.

The ones that didn't go off in public places in the middle of the day were.

Maybe, I guess you can never tell with this City. I wonder if we should be grateful for that...

Well, yeah...

The banging was a bit annoying, going on all day.

Yes, but it's just odd so many people are getting sick at once. One of the many unanswerable questions here.

I don't know about the holiday either, but I liked the fireworks, personally. I thought they were beautiful.

...is it not normal for a sickness to spread this quickly?

They were nice when you see them in the sky at night. I just wasn't fond of them going off all through the day in public places, they're supposed to be pretty dangerous if not used carefully.

Well, in winter it's a lot more likely to catch something like flu, but it just seems a lot of people are getting really sick really quickly, which isn't normal by my standards.

Oh, I suppose a lot of beautiful things can be dangerous.

I'll have to be careful, then. I wouldn't want my friends or my wife becoming ill, or myself.

They could hurt someone going off all over the place...still, they are nice to look at from afar.

Yeah, it's best to keep as warm as possible in the next couple of months so you don't catch anything. It's good you're looking out for those you care about though. Though I would have thought you were quite young to be married.
