I have a friend who has an excellent pair of center orchestra tickets for next week's Robin Williams show in Louisville on Tuesday October 6th at 8pm, which she now cannot use because she has to go home to Michigan for a funeral ( Read more... )

Would love to go - I'm in Cleveland from tomorrow for two weeks :D - but $250 seems awfully steep...

On the whole? No. Not for these good of seats! Those are the face values, too.

For comparison, I paid $500 for my front center Seinfeld tix, and I paid $900 for my second row Police tickets.

When Madonna toured the UK, and charged £100 / $150 for front-row tickets, many people just thought that was an insane amount of money...

Well, the face value for my Police tix was only $450 - I bought them on Ebay. Crap seats up in the nosebleed sections were going for $1200/pair and up. I actually got lucky!

And I have gotten spoiled on good seats - I'm willing to fork $$ to do that.
