Okay, I missed this -- what large hoohah on the Board? Did some posts get deleted, or is it just what's there now?

And, yeah... chatrooms tend to be whiny places. The old one ended up much the same way, which is part of why I never visited it.

The large hoohah in question is MaxInsanity's permission request. Which doesn't seem very large on the board, but he dragged it into that chatroom as well.

Possibly, but most of the chatrooms I've been in have never been whiny to the point of taking over everything else.

And since you seem to be lurking in the shadows again enough to leave your own, did you see that random mission that was posted on the board? It's really good.

Aha, I was wondering. So (if it's not rude to ask) did he explode a lot? I know some people don't take-- actually, given the number of 'um no' replies he got, I doubt anyone would've taken it well.

I don't often read missions nowadays; my incredibly scientific method (known as 'search for "mission" on the front page') shows one by Neshomeh and one by 'Partially-Gruntled Agent', who I can't say I've ever heard of. I'll take a look.

Well, he was exploding well before he actually decided to ask for permission, mostly going on about how terrible and weird he is, and, ah, not listening to any advice people gave him for his writing (multiple times, same advice) or listening in general.

From what I can figure I was the fourth or so person to tell him all that, just the first to do it after he posted it to ask for permission. The rest he asked for their opinions before he posted it, and apparently didn't change anything.

And yes, I mean the one by the Partially-Gruntled Agent.

I've been trying to go to the chat, but some real life stuff has kept me off the computer. I'm hope everything will calm down and people will learn to just relax and have some fun (without being whiny and generally stupid).

Yeah, is understandable, real life keeping one away. I think with Max gone for now it should get less whiny though.

Those classes sound like so much fun! Especially fencing, I think you have a much cooler uni than me in that regard because we only have a fencing *club*.

That sounds like a really dick move on your old boss's part. I hope your new job is less stressful.
