CAN'T BREATHE. LAUGHING TOO HARD.

I think he's the villain in a piece about a plucky little boy band from Sweden in, what appears to be Saturday Night Fever THE CLUB.

It's the ka-ching that makes it art.

ETA: I cannot BELIEVE that I had to watch Bergman instead of this for class. And it's not even on netflex, dammit! Literally, the title is "Smiling Golden Brown Eyes". And ( Read more... )

I do not want to know what's going on. It is enough for me that he is compulsively touching himself and singing while wearing a pornstache and the most perfect hair in all of Sweden. You're damn right, ka-ching!

Okay, I don't have native fluency, but when he's touching himself I think he's saying by my love? Because that would be awesome.

Wow, that is truly fantastic. O.O

I, um, hope you've seen this little clip of him in some movie that I think I really really need to see. *bg*

Ha! That was the worst kept secret in the Swedish Collection of our library. Have you seen Generation Kill? He's pretty mind-blowingly hot in that, too.

I think you need to translate all the converation for us :) Cool, but scary, clip. I like him much better as a vampire than a 70's porn/rock star!

I wish I could! A lot of it's hard because of the ambient noise. You know who you should ask? *points to comment below this one* I may ask her anyway. That song is too good to go un-understood.

DUDE. I hadn't even seen that! And it's a relatively new film, too!
Although I was disappointed at first because I misread the title of the video, and thought he actually sang the song "Smiling Golden Brown Eyes". Picture him doing that? Hee, you can beat schlager music.

It is your obligation, nay, your DUTY to find that mini-series and watch it. FOR US.

Also, can you translate the song? I get bits and pieces, but as far as I can tell he really wants to touch some lady with his kärlek. I didn't know you could do that in Sweden.

I shall try my best to get my hands on it!

As for translation, well - roughly, this is what he's singing:

Beyond the darkness there's an eternity
All of heaven's stars are brightening the night
Maybe my dream will become reality
For your love I will walk through fire and water
I want you here with me
And always be close to you

You are in my dreams
Thousand and one nights
Awakening my feelings
every early morning
The story of our love
can become real, can become true
If you'll love me for thousand and one nights

You come like a thief in the night
Stealing a kiss
and taking most of my love
Shadows falling in the blue dusk
Make me long for love
and just dream

I can never forget
You are in my dreams
Thousand and one nights
Because I will love you
for thousand and one nights

Wow, it sounds even cheesier in English. That's schlager for you! Sweden actually won the Eurovision Song Contest with this one.

*rolls on floor*

Thank you for translating that. Truly, Eurovision is a cultural treasure trove that never fails to produce. My hat's off to you, Europe. *golf claps*
