For those who've seen LJ's latest update...

For those who are as annoyed as I was seeing that 'LJ TImes' bar at the bottom of LJ pages this morning, go to account settings. On the Extensions tab, near the bottom, there's a sections called LJTIMES. There next to the 'Display LJTIMES' there's a ticky box.

Untick that, hit save, and that bar goes away.

I don't mind at all. Pretty much why I posted this was to spread the info far and wide.

Would have been nice for LJ to warn us before implementing this though.

I was banking on LJ having learned something from the Twitter/Facebook debacle some years back and at least added something to allow you to opt out. Thankfully I was right. Still, a bit of a nasty Halloween surprise this morning.

At least LJ included the opt - out this time.
