You aren't asking me, if I ever read things on HG, right? *rollseyes* :P
Maybe you wanted to say DWG or something. And I read some things on Firthness, DWG and whatnot, but never "Come Hell of High Water". Seems like I missed something. :)
ETA: Taking the outrage back. *rollseyes at self for not reading carefully* No, I never read this story either on Firthness or HG. ;)
It was removed from Firthness, and I'm pretty sure it was at HG (though I'm not positive) once she tried to get it published. It was too racy for DWG. It was very long, a contemporary with a P&P storyline, but also a Persuasion bent to it too.
I know what you mean, I cared about everyone too! It was so well done, and well though out. Not your average romance novel plot. I loved all the feisty talk and lingo, she had it down. Granted, there were a lot of stereotypes with all the Italians, but I loved it. So many little details of what she wrote were so true as well. Too many to list, but I could just so relate to a lot of what she wrote - it was so much fun to read! I liked a lot more than her fanfic, but I loved that one as well.
No, it didn't occur to me to leave one there, but I did write it up on my Book Blog and emailed her and she's commented back there and I posted at LibraryThing. Amazon's reviews are so bogus, I have real issues with Amazon and almost never review books there, although I know they are widely read. I'll do something over there too, thanks for the suggestion - it's all good publicity for her!
So cool to know this fabulous author, right? I particularly loved the NYC scenery, so to speak. I found the girl a sort of Bridget Jones' American sister with more sense. :)

You do realize this is the same Robin who wrote that sizzling P&P fanfic, "Come Hell or High Water" - did you ever read it at Firthness or HG?
