Ah! Love BSG sooo much. I'm currently without cable, so I've been watching the *original* show on broadcast, and it just makes me realize how many kinds of genius the series really is. And there's going to be a spinoff! "Caprica".

I know how you feel about the books though... I'm trying to pare down my collection, and it's like dealing with a crazy person. I have the books I love, the books I love but don't reread (so do I need them?), the great reference books that I never use for reference, and even the books I don't particularly care for but they're *classics* and therefore necessary for some reason.

I realized a good point for your typewriter argument. It words processes and prints simultaneously. Sometimes it's a pain to write a letter on the computer (which is generally a laptop now a days) then hook up to the printer and hope it works.
