I know exactly how you feel-- I found a really awesome fare once, based on the travel days, then by the time I'd gotten permission for the time off from work the price had gone up $150 and I was lucky to still get it. It bites. :(
Julie! I'm glad you are buying a ticket. The universe will line things up for you; don't worry. Lots of people come to Taiwan blind to teach English or to run around crazy, and you have had a year of experience here, met a million people, have sheets and a lamp in storage, and people here that care for you. You're golden!
That airline BS...I have heard that if you just wait a little bit again, you can get it to drop. I've heard they increase prices based on the number of people who search for something. So if you search for the same flight within a few minutes, they up the price. Rat friggin' bastards.
