I am beet red at the moment. Such a sitcom moment.

This story will take minimal background information. I work in a call center. I'm not able to take phone calls on the floor, due to other agents around. A supervisor called you about it?! Geez!

It's not like you did it on purpose. It's a completely understandable mistake, and I don't see how there could be any harm done unless the other agents are incredibly uptight clones of Dana Carvey's 'Church Lady' character.

I have a pretty low tolerance for bringing child-centered stuff into the workplace, but even I would be laughing, rather than being annoyed.

She called me OUT - not called me. Stepped out of the cubes and said "you need to tone it down - we have people working here". That's how I found out there were people over there.

Oh, well.

It was funny, I suppose. I know it was. Later, I'll laugh my ass off. I'm still red and embarrassed right now though.

Ah, my bad. Haven't had my coffee yet.

And I've been there. Believe me, I've been there so many times.

It's good that it's something you'll be able to laugh about *eventually.* Try to laugh about it sooner than later, though. Don't torture yourself about something that should earn you a spanking with a wet noodle, at most. ;)

well technically there is a "rule" no personal cell phone usage on the "floor" (it's not very strictly inforced though).

Yes, I did! I read it from my phone and couldn't respond. I kept meaning to go back to tell you - I had JUST eaten from square plates the previous morning at a hotel. I thought it was funny and random.

I would be very embarrassed as well, but it's very funny. Sounds like something I would do.

Since it's the holiday time I'm thinking of Chocolate cover peanut butter cookies I used to make that you loved some much. I haven't made them in several years. I might have to break down and make them this year.
