My baby - all growed up

In NYC, I shopped at H&M, as I always do in the city.  So here is Lanie, showing off her $3 hat and $5 dress and especially her two missing teeth.   She makes the biggest cheesiest grin to show off those gums.  The second picture is a little fuzzy - and kind of looks like a mugshot - but you can really see the teeth.  And she cut off a lot of hair

Wow! She's gorgeous! She makes me feel old, because it seems like just yesterday when she was a baby! You must be so proud!

I am proud! I mean, I'm glad she's gorgeous. At least, I certainly think she is. But I'm proud because she's sensitive and imaginative and polite and really an all-around good kid.

And yes, I can't believe how big she is. She looks like a big kid and acts like a PERSON. But that's fun too. We go on walks at night and she invariably asks me, "So, Mommy. How was your day at work?"
