Are you a nurse intern in the ER, BTW?
I don't know how well suited I would be for the ER environment, so I have massive respect for you doing it. I've only taken care of two patients who had went on to pass away, and it has not been under my care. I have, though, seen a lot of kiddos who have been resussitated after being PNBs, so I understand your reservations, too about what you are saving. I'm the lucky person who sees the patients who have been trapped underwater for ten minutes or fell from a window or had CVAs and lived to tell about, but only have months of therapy.

The Obama victory was amazing--I was in Cleveland park on election night with a bunch of other policy students and watching the entire bar break out in hugs and tears was an incredibly moving experience... It's amazing to see the enthusiasm of so many people exploding into the air at one...
