As for the Fez I think you are maybe searching for too high quality ones! The ones I have seen people wearing (when we went to Dr Who Live) were cardboard ones wrapped in what looked like felt; probably very low on the itchyness. Try searching for synthetic or something that might get better results.
I would cry if I had a wool sensitivity like that! I love knitting, crocheting and spinning my own wool. Mmmmm Merino omnomom. I think in the states that Carron has a really good range of acrylic fibres in a large range of colours- Simply Soft I have tried personally and it's really awesome. I know that Red Heart would also have the range of colours but you might want to try it next to your skin, it's considered by knitters as very nasty, plasticky and scratchy, I've not tried that one myself though.
Most awesome arts up in here! I'm sorry I forgot to say it last month but--Happy very belated birthday, nonetheless! June just breezed right on by, it seems. And spoiling yourself isn't a bad thing! It's nice to do some self-indulgence every now & then.

Heeey I felt I should refriend you on LJ. Sorry about the great LJ exodus years ago, I was going through a...rough patch and just...needed distance from old communities. But that is all in the past for me now and it seems we are in some of the same fandoms again and I miss your art. :)
