To me... there's not a lot of difference between absconding with someone's Original Species, and absconding with someone's Original World. Except a lot more work usually goes into a world ( ... )

As someone with an original species, in my opinion, there are two main reasons that people want to make their own character of an original species... 1 because it's currently the popular thing to do, or 2 because they just want the appearance of the species. Rarely ever, close to never, have I been asked more information about the species by someone who wanted their own character, and I always have to ask the person why it is the character has to be a furrecat and not any other given species. There is generally no reason the character they wish to create could not have been any other animal. I used to get requests to make them very often, but since it's no longer popular, I pretty much never do.. and I just let them because I know if they ever DO draw the character, they will lose interest eventually. Probably because they were only interested in the superficial aspect of the species in the first place. Even the people who did a lot with their furrecats no longer draw them ( ... )
