I don't see what would be so confusing. You're fairly smart (in more than verbal skills, I reckon) but also rather stressed. In my experience, the two go hand in hand. (Especially after a few years in public schools if they're anything like the ones I went to!) In turn, the anxiety affects memory. Heck, my own memory isn't that great either, but I consider that a blessing because it means I can almost completely leave behind all of the unpleasantness surrounding my time in public school. (Any remaining social phobias are mainly just habitual and have been fading gradually but steadily ever since graduation.)

Then again, for all I know, I might be a wacko weirdo nutjob too. That's not necessarily a bad thing, though.

Yay for employment! Isn't it interesting how differently pizza can affect you when you have to work to earn it?

And that critter is adorable, especially with that little mustache! I have to wonder, though, about the potential hazards of combining fire-breathing with so much fluff on the face...

But apparently those last two don't go with high verbal skills.

...yeah, I am just as confused as you. ._. I'd be really interested to find out how those things are supposed to contradict one another, because it makes no sense to me at all.

Did you tell them docs that you keep a journal? That you participate in Nanowrimo? That you just write fiction? You express yourself very well on "paper", and that's not necessarily something usual for the cases they see and it might explain your verbal skills (I'm just suggesting here, since I have no idea what criterion they use for there tests). I'd mention it to them...
