my journal just underwent a total icon re-vamp. it was actually a pretty emotional endeavor. and also nostalgic. i'm surprised at how emotionally attached to some 100x100 images i've become, and how much i've grown to see them as an extension of myself ( Read more... )

I'm the same way with icons and I don't know what it is. I think it's because the icons are representative so that we become attached and needing to delete them is like admitting you've changed and moved on.

I hope that makes sense. idk if I'm explaining myself well.

i'm 100% on board with that statement. lj had already made most of my icons "unavailable" when i went off paid account, so i had already "lost" some. but actually *deleting* them...oh boy. really hard. i'm not so good with change.
