This is ridiculous. Apparently I'm not just content with the awesomeness of the show as it is, and nor am I simply satisfied by the genius extras and RPF. No, my brain feels that it is also necessary to shove these characters into other worlds instead, and so, as a result, I have three teeny snippets from AUs that I really shouldn't write but

I'm supposed to be helping my mother cook, so I can't read these right now (*SOB*), but OMG I AM BOOKMARKING THIS FOR WHEN I GET A BREAK. *FLAILS*

“I’m Arthur Pendragon, the leading DI on the case,” the man says, as though he can’t quite believe Merlin doesn’t automatically know who he is.
\0/ I can totally imagine the LOOK on Arthur's face with that line. SO PERFECT.

OMG! I LOVE YOU! ahem yes there is internet love from the stranger!
I've erm only read the Sharpe one. I've not overly much watched it if I'm honest (though have watched it before) but I used to be a Napoleonic re-enacter (8 years of my life) and OMG WIN!!!
BTW your link to the uniforms doesn't work. Erm if you google "95th Rifles" there will be plenty examples of the Rifles uniform... (oh Christ I can't believe I've just advertised them)
Anyway, I believe I recognise the first episode plot hiding in there somewhere...
Much love and you know I may just even try watching Sharpe again (trust me after the millionth time of sitting round the camp and some eejit coming over and asking if Sharpe is there or Sean Bean is there you just get put off watching it).
Anyways much loves to you for this! I will stop typing before I start gushing.
(I apologise if anyone here does go to the Napoleonic camps and ask for Sharpe. I'm very sorry to offend)

And wow, that is so cool! I am ridiculously terrible at history and knowing anything in-depth, so please yell if you spy anything that is totally wrong - I am a huge fan of Wellington, but I am terrible with dates and details.
You have spotted it, it is totally Sharpe's Rifles!
And that must get very annoying, LOL. You should tell them he's in some location they have to walk really far to get to, just to annoy them!
Thank you for the lovely comment! :-)

On a second re-read you have now got me to *cough*download*cough* Sharpe's Rifles and God knows how but I managed to make Merlin sound like Sean Bean in my head.
Oh and you should see those uniforms on vaguely attractive men in person... *drifts away* and the Redcoats are um... I'll be very quiet now...
If you did happen to continue with the Sharpeish one I'd gladly have a look over but I didn't spot anything majorly wrong from what I could see.
I read the other two and oh hell I'll join in with the cries below for more of all three *grins*
So no pressure... :-D

And ooh, interesting - I realised earlier on that it could never be quite the same as Sharpe and Harper, so the two of them are kind of a mix - Arthur could never be as rough or working-class as Sharpe, though he's a dirty fighter, and Merlin is a little bit more like Harris than he is anyone else, but with Harper's loyalty and Perkins' adorability thrown in!
And OMG, don't even, I would probably be the most embarrassing woman on earth if surrounded by men in actual Napoleonic uniform! *swoons*
Thank you! :-)
