Raw, but no peace - Day 23

Feb 11, 2010 20:54

It's Day 23 and I'm having a tough time of keeping up with things. Paul's treatment is making him very unwell, I have lots of work on at the moment and a little girl who just wants someone to play with. And there's no other guilt like that, I can tell you. I could do with more sleep and less worry. I am not sure I can keep up the pace of raw. There ( Read more... )

But this time I just might need to take some time off so I don't burn myself out and not be able to take care of my family - because burning out would kind of defeat the purpose of my quest wouldn't it?

You've done amazingly as it is, and I think you've already got pretty good habits over all. Doing a whole month in a new style is a very intensive way to learn it, and there's no guilt in slowing it down for your own sake. I've been inspired by the trip you've made so far, but honestly the pace of it must be breaking your neck! When I do a month of new cuisine (last time was Morroccan) I aimed for 3 new meals a week, and that was hard work!

*hugs*

I need to re-read your blog for that recipe with the pumpkin spaghetti in it. I want to give that one a go!
:-)
And I want to try these nut balls you had tonight and yesterday. They sound interesting!

Thank you for your kind, kind words. I got through yesterday much easier than the day before with a bit of a sooky-crying meltdown in between and much of it was due to such words of encouragement as your own. Thank you.

Day 23 already!

Do take care to pace yourself. You need taking care of too.

Please, don´t be hard on yourself. You are doing absolutely amazing stuff and I am wondering anyway how you manage! So you should definitely take some time off if you feel you´re running out of steam. Who else could manage to prepare all this incredible food and upload perfect pictures of it so that even I in my never-ending-winter-Berlin would love to have this raw food served!?

Jules, The food looks amazing - as always. I think you are doing a phenomenal job Jules on all fronts. You are a remarkable and strong woman Jules - but go easy on yourself lovey.

I'm thinking of you frequently Jules - Left a message for Paul saying I think you need the lucky penny back....

Take care J xx

PS such lovely photos of Isla too.
