Dream Entry #1

I had decided to go grocery shopping for my parents. The grocery store was full of people; a lot of them were making comments. My best friend, Brittany, was with me. I wanted to get a lunchable, but I could never find it. I kept getting the supplies but putting them back. Then there was a man that everyone loved, and he kept hitting on me. He was pretty sleazy, and he reminded me a lot of the painter from season 4 of queer as folk, I seriously think that was him. I don’t remember the face exactly. Anyway, I was walking through the aisles; the store was getting more crowded when I bumped into Matthew Perry. I stopped for a moment, and felt this sense of awkwardness standing there. It was then I realized Matthew Perry and I had a past. I don’t know the past, but we were exlovers. However, I felt like I still loved him, and I wanted to be with him. So, we agreed to go back to his place. There was a woman who was also Matthew Perry’s ex. She came out of nowhere, and it had become ridiculously uncomfortable. She kept pulling the cart through the clothes section of the store and the areas were getting tighter together the more uncomfortable it got. Until we finally got to the registers, and she announced she had to be off, and wished me luck with Matthew, and for some reason announced she was dating the sleaze ball that was hitting on me.
This is where the dream gets little R-rated. I tell Matthew that I want him to be my lover, but he seems hesitant about it. However, we go back to his apartment. There isn’t a lot there. It seems to be a little run down place, which doesn’t make sense since he is rich. Anyway, we start making out, and there is never really any sex, because we fall asleep at his place, and next thing I know, there is daylight outside, and I know my parents are freaking out. So I send them a text, saying I ran into a friend, and I ended up going there instead. I apologize for falling asleep to them, and then I turn my focus on the area. Brittany is making breakfast in the kitchen; Matthew and I are alone in the room. Again we continue to make out, and simulate sex, but it never is real sex.
Cut to night, there is beautiful restaurant, twinkle lights everywhere. It’s a warm night. Matthew, Brittany, and I are sitting at the table, talking. Tonight is the night Matthew met the parents. I kept asking if he was sure about this. Apparently, he and I had been dating for a six months to a year by that point. I had moved out of my parents place, and it seems first to live with Brittany then I moved in with Matthew. We talk small talk, I can’t hear the conversation, when I see my parents and my aunt and uncle arrive. Again, more of the usual, greeting, questions, most of the scene seemed to fast forward, and I can’t hear the words. Matthew and I kept talking to each other, laughing, smiling, he even held my hand. It seemed that, while the band played, and everyone was having a good time, Matthew and I were really in love, it was like we were trying to prove it to the parents. Well at some point, Brittany comes in, bugging Matthew to dance with me, but there is something suspicious about it. I can’t find the dance floor or where other people are dancing. However, we get to by the pond with a fountain that was by there, and that is where Matthew proposes. I say yes, and we announce it to my parents.
Then I wake up.
My Analysis:
I am seeking commitment in my life and trying to move forward. I always need to stop watching Friends before I go to bed
