Oh my.... what has got into you to be so morose??? Not enough Christmas cheer obviously! Or maybe too much, and the slough of despond hath descendeth...

I have to admit I don't know the original of this song - Marianne Faithful - or the Stones version (oh, I know, the shame!!) so I have no frame of reference. I have to say I liked your version, and would like to go and listen to the original, or at least the Stones version to compare.

I enjoyed your version, if you can 'enjoy' such a downbeat song, but it is very well played and sung brilliantly if you don't mind me saying.

As for the subject matter... well morphine can seriously screw you up. I still remember vivid horrific hallucinations whilst on morphine, which I still see from time to time... an amazing drug but it can mess with your head big time. Just saying.

Now, get some happy tunes up!
