I realized I've been somewhat off the grid in terms of FB/gchat/Yelp/LJ (wow) since the move on Saturday, so here's my check-in.

Don't worry; you'll get the hang of calling it the T soon. The real hard part is putting the Charlie Card back in your wallet because you don't need it when you get off.

I remember Jamaica Plain as having a ferocious once-a-year crazy day of something like Puerto Rico's independence, but I don't think it's Puerto Rico. Argh. My memory sucks, but damn, that was awesome fun!

It sounds like Boston is already taking good care of you! I rarely get on LJ anymore (curse the crazy life of a grad student-plus since I've started my new Distracted Dissertator blog about school, trying to keep a separate one up here for social stuff is just too hard!), but I might have to start again to be able to keep up to date on all your Beantown adventures.
