Bloody hypocrites

What's the problem with parents having "to explain why two women were kissing"? Why does it need any explanation at all? As if they don't see women making out with guys all the time - real life, network TV, whatever. Assuming they even notice, and further bring it up, just fucking acknowledge it, and let the kids get on with their lives

Posse Comitatus suspended

I should probably point out something in reference to the last artice linked regarding martial law. About a year or so ago, President Bush suspended the writ of Posse Comitatus using executive privilege, thereby making the declaration of martial law or exercises thereof pretty much his own discretion.

Although I may be mistaken, I believe PC was reinstated recently. Have to dig further to find out if it had.

I'll admit that this was the first time I'd heard the term "posse comitatus", but I did hear something at the time to the effect that Bush had granted himself the power to declare martial law at will, and there was a lot of paranoia that he would use said power to cancel the elections, and stay in office indefinitely. I'm glad to see (having gone looking for it now), that it has, in fact, been repealed.
