Heard the heartbeat today. Was kind of a weird wooshy-pounding noise at 155 bpm. He was like "betting on girl with this one." Fetus is super cooperative. Seriously, popped right up on the first ultrasound then the cocky little thing waved at us, then it took him no time at all to find the heartbeat. I may just be silly being impressed, though

You know what the heartbeat sounds like to me? flapping sheet metal. I don't know why but it was what popped into my head.

Yeah, that's pretty much what it sounded like. Like our shed in a good windstorm.
