I just got home from a several day stint at the hospital. I have never experienced pain of the magnitude that I experienced Sunday and Monday. If you can avoid ever having your pancreas pissed off at you (I had a stone in my bile duct that blocked up the flow of bile, and the bile got backed up to my pancreas. Did they remove your gallbladder?

No--the stone was produced inside my common bile duct. I actually have a congenital defect in that duct (It is a rare type of cyst--I found out it was there three years ago on accident, but this is the first trouble it has ever given me--it worked perfectly fine all of these years.) and so am apparently prone to stones forming there and this happening again at anytime. So, I have to go to a specialist in another city soon and get some scary procedure done to cut down on that risk a bit. I may write up more about this if you really care to read it, but not today ( ... )
