Blech. I feel like I have a huge hangover. Tired, listless, headache... and I didn't even drink last night! I thought about getting a beer, but decided against it. So I don't like to imagine how I'd feel if I actually had. Could be the aftereffects of the flue as well. I don't suppose that upon being tired, and recovering, staying up all night is ( Read more... )

I'm pretty sure "kettle" is *not* the word, though I'm not sure what is . . . what sort of thing are you talking about?

Glad you're grandpa's back home--hope neither of them end up with any more illnesses/accidents any time soon! Sorry about your aunt--hope those kids learn to drive more safely in the future.

Hope your mom's gallbladder surgery goes fine, and that you're feeling better soon too!

Last night *was* fun, wasn't it? :D And yes, you need a webcam. ;) Yeah, I think I might know what you mean about the "old days"--think I came into the fandom right in the middle of 'em--last year was a winding down in some ways, and this year there was a definite shift in involvement--a bunch of oldtimers aren't here, and a bunch of newbies are . . . I just wish it was a slower and smoother transition, to carry over more of the spirit and focus on quality . . .

We already talked about it, so you know just who and what I am talking about. But I don't want to mention anyone in specific. But it might just mean I'm not ready for the change...

And I think I meant the radiotor. The thing that makes sure I can heat up my home and have warm water...

Ah yes, the radiator. Yeah, that makes sense. We have a furnace thing in our garage that does that, not sure all the details there.

Glad to hear your Grandfather is going home and I'm sorry to hear about your aunt. :/ I think, however, that I'm in the same camp as your mother. I have an appointment with the doctor coming up and we'll talk about getting my gallbladder removed. Maybe I can time it so we'll be going in at the same time - me and your mum could be gallbladder buddies! ;)

And, yes! I know what you mean about the changing atmosphere. All the new faces and the absence of others. :/ And I think that's the first time in the FoLC fandom that I've been hit on! (I'd actually missed the first comment, 'cause I'd been in the main window for the author interview, but Wendy showed me and I had a little 'WTF?!' moment. *g* I went with it, 'cause I'm Dave, but... it sure was odd.)
