Anecdotal Reason Why I'm a Teacher

We have been studying the O. Henry Short Story award winner,  "The Most Dangerous Game" by Richard Connell, and comparing it with the 1932 film with Joel McCrea, Fay Wray, and Leslie Banks.  It's sort of a welcome to high school - hey, be prepared, people die in these more adult stories.  This one eases kids in, because while there is a body count ( Read more... )

Thank you. I think many, many classrooms have moments like these in them. They are why so many of us teachers love what we do. I try to share them, so that others can feel the love, too.
