I'm going to say it: that was the best DW Christmas story EVAH.*  Rating:.  10/10

*And if it had been written for Ten, it would have rated 11/10.  Just sayin'.

Honestly, I don't think it would have worked for 10... Sorry :P

Glad you enjoyed it though. I'm looking forward to watching it again tomorrow (I missed a few bits as I was still bustling around dealing with the last of Christmas Dinner).

I loved it too. And loved that it had elements from my favorite DW Short Story (a Doc7 one, of course).

What is your favorite DW short story?

"Continuity Errors" by that little known Doctor Who author, Steven Moffat. In it, Doc7 needs to get a library book out that will help him save millions of lives, but the grumpy librarian won't let him. So he starts meddling in her past until she's happy & content with her life. But she still won't. It's quite funny and has a great ending too.

Heh. gordon_r_d mentioned "Continuity Errors" as his favorite Doctor Who short, too.

That's the great thing about being a DW writer who writes for both prose and television -- you can recycle stories without having to worry about copyright issues... ;-)
