A blue trumpet? Really? Awesome! I've just been thinking about pulling my trumpet out again and playing some. Largely due to the new part time kids at work. They're both in jazz band, and one of them thinks he's hot shit. He's a sax player. My dad, who played trumpet also back in the day, and I constantly rag on him. He doesn't believe half the things I tell him I did back in my jazz band days, so I'm itching to prove him wrong. Of course, I haven't played in, um...I think 6 or 7 years, so I may need to knock the rust off.

The SXSW thing reminds me of an anime. *dodges thrown blocks* Yes yes, I know you're not a huge fan. Still. Beck: Mongolian Chop Squad is an anime about the formation of a band. They eventually go to this HUGE festival, and the person running it laments the fact that it used to be for indy bands, and is now going totally commercial.
