Closing on the house Friday. Assuming two things - 1: I can get off work for the closing procedure at 4pm. Even though I informed my lender time and fucking time the fuckity fuck again that I work 10:30 to 7:00, she still scheduled it for 4:00pm. If Lee were here, he would say "Nice, nice" and then improperly employ scissors in some manner

What's with that whole strike anyway?

I had a California tech call in today without disclosing his name (even though I know who he is because he's the fucking coolest tech ever) to tell us about the strike, and how its gonna be on 5/7...

I guess I thought it was just old Pacbell, but all of SBC? Just the techs? hehe interesting..

If they strike it's ALL the workers for SBC. The communication workers union covers all employees of SBC.

i feel ya, Seth, PD's been in negotiations for a new contract for over a year now, and we're not terribly far from the strike point either, which is likely to fuck me over royale. Still, its not that i don't appreciate CWA, but this shit shouldn't have come about the way it has. But then, in an ideal world, there would be no need for unions anyway, so...
