I have a real problem with people who bash things for no other reason than "I just don't like it." Many people don't like d20, and that's fine, I respect people's opnions and as far as gaming goes it should always be a matter of what you do and do not enjoy. However, when those feelings blossom into an attitude of superiority and condescension towards people who DO like d20 (or whatever it is you don't like), then you're just being moronic. John Wick's little rant can be effectively summed up as "I don't like d20! Only people who don't know what REAL ROLEPLAYING IS like d20! If I played d20 I'd turn it into 7th Sea! That's how it's done! I'm John Wick!" After having to deal with comments like that left and right day after day, it's just frustrating to see one more time.

Wick randomly bashing d20 and its players as being "immature" because A) it doesn't fit his little view of what an RPG should be, and B) any given d20 product will outsell any given Wick solo product... like this is anything new. :)

As several people pointed out, though - someone's already made the d20 game Wick wanted; it's called Mutants and Masterminds.

Speaking of which, I'm doing more testing, and I don't think that the Damage Save (at least the way I'm handling it) will make invulnerable characters. Considering that the highest possible Damage Save a character could have without magical assistance is +12 (+5 Base for a Barbarian, +5 Constitution bonus, +2 Toughness Feat), which will only beat a DC 22 hit half of the time, I think it's fine. A DC 22 hit would be a Katana (+4 Damage) from someone with 16 Strength (+3 Damage) -- not exactly an uncommon combination.
