I'm old

Emmy is here visiting and I hope we haven't bored here to tears with our old fogeyness. She is heavily Benadryl'd because of cats and I'm hoping her zombie-like state means she hasn't noticed that she is bored to death. She has been petting cats and even let Ralph lay on her jeans, so maybe she's being won over to the Dark Side ( Read more... )

I have a hard time seeing movies in the theater for that reason too - or there are very young kids there with parents making a rukus too. I think I'd rather just be cozied up on the couch with a blanket and a cat or 3 with my small screen. Well, but then you miss out on the good popcorn.

My boyfriend is allergic to my dog and he takes Claratin [over the counter too] while he's here because the Benedryl made him a zombie. Claratin is non-drowsy.

Well, Em brought Benadryl I guess because it works best for her. We don't have a lot of that stuff in the house because I can't take most of it anyway. ;) (And we're not allergic to the cats.)

I love going to the movies. I guess I am just used to seeing stuffy old art movies, though, because very rarely do I encounter rude people or overzealous teenagers in my movies. I guess I just need to make more mature movie choices. :)

I don't keep that stuff around either. James has to bring his own. :D we are a non-allergy famly - thank goodness and knock on wood like crazy!

Totally! I don't know what I'll do if I have an allergic kid!

I love teenagers. I just don't know why she had to fake cry every time this dude came on the screen!

I totally agree. I love those dance type movies and Joy hates them so I always have to watch them on Demand... Which means by the time they get here and are free. I forgot what they were and what the names of the movies I wanted to watch...

But thanks for the Idea.. I think we might try and go see a movie today. =)

And those teenagers.. Ugh.. I hate it when they are like that.. talking through the entire movie.. Just ruins it for everyone... Me and Joy normally sit in the very back where no one is..

Well, I probably should have waited for On Demand because I'm not sure the experience was worth $8 or whatever. :) But it was an entertaining movie so I can't complain too much.

I just wish people would NOT BE RUDE. Talk quietly, I don't care. But don't be a jerk!

Here here! I want a bill banning teenagers from the movies (and various other venues) on the next ballot.

Only if they can't shut up. If they can, they can stay. :)

I'm still a dog person, but it's nice to have a kitty on your lap. (Though yours seem kinda vicious, and I was worried they were going to seriously kill each other last night. I really don't understand - they were just snuggling hours earlier!)

I had not seen every movie!

And yeah, that girl was ridiculous. I think they should be allowed in, but if they get obnoxious, we gag/taser em.

Oh don't worry, they fight all the time but then they snuggle up again. Except Fin. He doesn't really snuggle, mostly he just terrorizes Ralph and she hates it. Poor Ralph!

You had seriously seen almost every movie. You are the queen of movies!

Thanks so much for coming. We loved having you! :)

I so didn't see Fin do much of anything. And as for Ralph - she's tough! She can take care of herself!

I had seen like three movies! They just happened to be most of the good ones. Though I will accept the title queen of movies! (This weekend I'm going to try to see "The Departed".)

Thanks for having me! It was fun times!
