Valley Pride

It was Pride Day in the Happy Valley, arguably one of my favorite days of the whole year in my little neck of the woods. It's just... well, I've lived a number of places and I've gone to a whole lot of Pride celebrations but there is something very special about the HV and I guess the best way to explain it is that Pride is just so... normal here.

Pride here in Brooklyn isn't quite like that, but a little....Brooklyn Pride (as opposed to Manhattan's event) is very family-oriented, includes a street fair and a children's area and is much more an event aimed at, and thus participated in by, the whole community. I love that.
