Bloody hell.

Ok, so today, I kind of got in an accident. It was stupid, there wasn't really much damage, but it wasn't a nice experience, and a totally unnecessary at that.
I'll explain;
I was driving back from the CCL, with my mom, because I hadn't driven that long route and was feeling tired that morning and also for the appointment there - to talk ( Read more... )

My mum does that too sometimes and it drives me nuts! Or she'll make a sound like she's dying or something and then when I'm like, "WHAT WHAT WHAT," she'll be like, "oh I forgot to take out the trash" :/ So I definitely sympathize!

Thank you. :) I feel a lot better now, as a little time passed, but I'm just really a huge perfectionist and want to do everything super well, so it was kind of hard for me at first that I reacted like that, despite any kind of reason, especially since I'm normally quite calm in those sort of situations. But I feel much better now, we talked everything through and she really understood it I think. She'll try not to do it again. And that's much for her own good too. xD
But thank you again, the comments really helped me, it's always good to know you're not alone! :)

Seriously, both my mother and grandmother do that. It's horrible.
They give you the feeling you're doing something absolutely wrong and make you feel so insecure.
It sucks, I know the feeling. :(

Yeah, it kind of makes you insecure, while I know I drive really good, and am super laid back most of the time, whether there are unexpected things happening on the road or not.
But it's just normal that you don't really have as much insight on how the road works as people that have more experience. It can be a pretty chaotic mess these days with all the work-traffic and stuff.

I did really learn that trusting yourself is very important in these kind of situations.

Thank you Vio <3 *hugs back*

I was quite upset afterwards, though in a very shut-down way. But that was more because I really couldn't vent the shock because of my mom. Luckily it all worked out in the end. :)

Thx so much for the comment <3

Ohh, those things are so annoying indeed. My mom sometimes overreacts as well. Luckily for me it was when I already had my drivers license for a while and it was when turning on a 'dijkje'. I already had enough experience to know, I knew what I was doing. And my mom doesn't have a licence herself.. so. But yeah *hugs*

I reckon it's a lot different when your mother doesn't have a license herself! Because that was a main part of the 2 second flash insecurity steering wheel turn of doom. I really believed that she, with over twenty years of experience, would know when to react a certain way on the road. I just trusted her reaction, instead of trusting the info all around me.
One way or the other, people should never ever start yelling beside someone who's driving. xD

Thank you :) *hug*
