kayay, have you tried Yanime's version? Most people think that translating style is better. I think the series is ok. It doesn't grab my attention like Bleach or Naruto does, but it's still a fairly interesting story. I think if the characters had more depth to them, the story would be better. It's hard for me to put my finger on what's missing, thus my rather floundering comment last time. Like you said, a completely original idea is hard to if not impossible to come by. For example, the religious secret organization is a popular element in everything from books to movies, but handled right it becomes something memorable. I agree that one thing DGray seems to lack is character depth; their personalities didn't come through. After fourteen chapters I don't feel much for them beyond thinking things like "X is a nice guy and Y is kind of a jerk but probably not that bad." I'll write more about it after I catch up though.
