- Our Lordship Has Devised A New Billing System -

I have decided...that there really IS such thing as "too much of a good thing".

Life has been downright decadent for me lately. Which, roughly translated, means that I'm almost worrying about it. O_o

Witness the utterly sinful overload of good things so far:

-Twilight, by Stephenie Meyer, which just might be my favourite book of all time.

-Tears of ( Read more... )

...dude. That's totally scary.

I just finished reading New Moon. Which I ran out and bought the day I finished Twilight.

...and I'm rather madly in love with three books; and August 7th is too far away. Ahem.

But? We scare me sometimes XD That's just funny.

I was completely underwhelmed by Dinosaur Jr.'s new album. Granted; I've heard nothing of their old stuff, and ended up just likening it to Foo Fighters, without the edge, with Wayne Coyne. O_o

Gah, these, not three. My mind is elsewhere. O_o

Heheh. ^^ Thing about Dinosaur Jr. for me is that they even MADE an album...they were one of those bands, along with Nirvana, that I was pretty sure I'd never get to hear more from/see live ever.

And I liked Beyond. It's a laid-back record...plus, Thurston Moore shows up in their video. RAWK. XD

As to Twilight...I'd been trying to get my hands on it for, oh, over a year now. Somehow, though, the library thing never worked out, so when I saw it in Coles the other day I was like: "Screw it, this is cheaper than paying all those penalties at the library anyway". ^^ The next Bloody Jack book, Mississippi Jack, ALSO comes out close to that release date. *dies of anticipation*

But yes. O_o I've probably re-read the two books about three times each at this point. Especially the Italy/Bella+Edward reunion bit, and...oh, just about EVERY scene where the two interact AT ALL in the first book. I'm such a sap. ^^;;;

I'm glad I'm not the only one being all... swoony (for lack of a better word) over Edward and Bella. I mean, goodness gracious. I don't think I've ever been so emotionally invested in two characters, ever, except for the pups (of course.) ^^;;

But I have a question! Do you have the copy of New Moon with the first chapter of Eclipse in it? I got my copy of New Moon on the 4th; the one with the extra chapter came out on the 5th. and, I'm kind of all, "gahh, must read now!", haha.

Hmm, maybe it's about time to check out the scandalous, multi-million dollar library across the street.

No pressure, but do you have your content gathered for WHYH? Still looking forward to an update.

And don't feel bad for not spending more time on art (I'm guessing that's what you were alluding to,) inspiration comes in many little ways from many different places. Not trying to be cheesy here, but constant work can end up dry and tiring. I don't think reading or listening to music or viewing films are unnecessary things.

Yeah, I've got the content gathered...issue is, actually, just getting computer access for more than five minutes. ^^; *sighs* I guess I should get around to paying all my library fees, so that I can go use the internet there. >.>

I'm actually worried less about artistic inspiration right now that I am about the universe balancing out all this goodness with one massive landslide of suck. Such as...not being able to go to Lollapalooza this summer. Or not getting into Second Year. That kind of thing. ^^; Once I get around to cleaning up my desk area of the portfolio debris, I will no doubt start doodling again. XD

That's cool. But why do you have so little time to use the internet at home?

I think concentrating too much on what you don't want makes things worse, Mariella. Everything should be fine. *hugs*

Here's some more overlooked metal... with a lame connection to 300, too. ;p

Home internet time revolves very much around my mother's work schedule...since she translates things, and my comp is STILL broken, hers is the only one available. So I can basically get on when she isn't on it. >.>

^^; Thanks for the link, dear!
