Opening a bank account in England is a ridiculous nightmare!

Lloyds TSB gave me one without complaint and a local building society (Britspeak for local bank) offered me one, too but they didn't want to give me a debit card right away.

The thing is, you need two forms of identification now, one that identifies your IDENTITY (aka I can use my passport) and one that confirms that you have an address, which can be a driver's licence, which I don't have, official rent bills or land line bills or OTHER THINGS I DON'T HAVE HERE, so I'm having my bank send something to my mum who's sending it on to me because I can use my danish address for it, doesn't have to be my current, oddly enough >.<" So when I get THAT I can go to a bank to open an account. THEN it'll take 7-10 work days for the form to be processed and for the account to activate. But that's not mentioning filling out the form at all because X_X yeah...
