Wow. Wouldn't have thought that the book question is so tough, but it turns out I mostly read period books or sci-fi, so nothing really comes to mind that fits.

The book "Will Grayson, Will Grayson" by John Green and David Levithan is a really good one. It was just published recently and the whole story is about relationships, friendships and love and it has lgbt themes. I would def recommended.
