First of all, even if it had been crap, I would have loved it because first fic posting is terrifying! And when you're writing to prompts (and you picked the HARDEST ONE!!), which is so much harder? PLEASE! Just you doing this was a wonderful gift.

But it's NOT crap! It's so completely adorable. I love Harry in this - you know he's my Harry, all disgruntled and dissatisfied but feeling like he can't show it to anyone. I love the idea of him being at Narcissa's party. And Draco is so realistic in this - a bit touchy, a bit sullen, a bit awkward, still open to Harry underneath it all. Awesome.

Well, I didn't think of it as the hardest one, because it immediately gave me the idea of a duck pond in the Malfoy backyard :D So it was a great inspiration! most unlike Cheryl's prompts - my brain just died when I looked at her prompts' list, totally blank... I will have to squeeze my brain even more to those!

Congratulations :) I really liked your Harry in this: feeling obligated to do things for Narcissa; awkward around Draco, not knowing how to act around him after the war; and how he liked the plain ol' duck more than the peacock!
