Once upon a time there was a forest. The forest was very dark and dangerous, but right in the middle there was a meadow which was the home of the Unicorns. But because the woods were so dark, no one had ever seen this meadow. So the Unicorn Family lived in peace and prosperity, until one day... dun dun dun… a crow was flying across the forest.

This crow was no normal crow, but a speaking crow, who had learned the tongue of Man. He saw the beautiful meadow with its beautiful unicorns and when it got to the nearest town outside the forest it could not help but talk loudly about the divine sight. The crow continued to fly and talk and the rumor of the creatures in the heart of the forest spread quickly.

Soon men of all kinds went looking for it. Good and bad. Many had to give up their life in the dark depths of the forest and only few came out alive. Because no one ever succeeded in even seeing the creatures, it became an old myth as years went by. In the same town the crow had first visited a young boy grew up with the mystical tale of these unicorns and the horrible stories of the adventures that had never returned.

But the boy had only one dream and purpose in life: to see the fabled unicorns. The day after he turned 20 years of age, he took off and ventured into the dark forest accompanied by the sound of despair from his family and mother.

Because he had prepared for this his whole life, he had researched the forest like no one else, so he knew the weakness of the Giant Spiders and Flame-throwing Roosters - among others. Starved and half crazed with loneliness he finally arrived at the meadow in the heart of the forest, where the sight of the pure unicorns healed and soothed his fractured mind like nothing else would have been able to.

The unicorns saw his bravery and passion for them was pure and they helped him return to his town and his family, where he truly belonged.

The day of the Unicorns was this day later called. The day they showed themselves for the first and only time, carrying the no longer boy on an elder stallion's back. He was named the true Hero of the Town and from then on the town renamed itself to Uniconia in honor of the splendid creatures.

Years passed as they do and when the no longer boy had grown a knee long white beard it was time for him to go to rest, but he knew he could only do that truly with the unicorns. So he travelled into the deep dark forest once more, and this time he did not return. But his story and the myth still remain in honour of his memory.

THE END.
