Roast turkey Mashed potatoes Green bean casserole (the thing everybody's mother made) Stuffing Bread Gravy for whatever Pumpkin custards (I sort of made this up. Basically pumpkin pie without the fattening shell, baked in custard cups.)
Until this year I also served cranberry sauce (the real stuff, not that canned jello crap) and candied yams. But we don't have any friends to speak of here in Pittsburgh, so it's hard to justify all that food. Neither Scott, his mom nor I actually like yams so they got tossed off the menu. And while we do like cranberry sauce, there's no way to make "just a little bit", so every year since we moved here we've had a big bowl of the stuff (perhaps 90% of it) left over.
Hmmm...cranberry-apple pie. That sounds delicious. I could probably do that in custard cups, too, and dispense with the crust. I'll definitely think about that.
