New puppy, I have some questions

Hi. My husband and I recently adopted a puppy from the pound, and we weren't looking for a specific breed as much as a small dog with a lot of personality. We decided on a little brown and white hairy puppy, and I think he is at least part JRT, but I'm not sure. I breed/show Parsons, and it looks like a pure to me. Where state where you in when you got him? He looks alot like my friends Parson who also shows with me, I jokingly call her dog a Maltese all the time. Oh and Broken coats go from soft and fluffy to course and curly.

I'll post a pic of Crickett (dog that looks like yours and you can judge) I'm hoping this isn't a breeder's dog that I know, but his tail isn't docked so who ever breed him either doesn't show, or was very anti- tail docking.
