Out of curiosity... which one hadn't you read? And I really do love the last two Amelia ones, dearly so, and I don't just read them for the story but also because Amelia as a character is just such a dear :)

I hadn't read "Like Nobody's Watching". It's an interesting thought, that he came back for her but she can't remember.

I keep track because I just really like talking to people about stuff like this. It makes for great conversation. Don't feel bad, it kinda stretches my enthusiasm for the show longer before I have to *really* begin the wait for SJA and Christmas.

Interesting, you've been over to calufrax? It's the Teaspoon rec comm, I have a Teaspoon account floating around somewhere from the times when I thought I could write anything, haha. But they're some really good, varied recs, except it's a different reccer each week, but variety is good! :)

Nice recs! And I'm glad to see freakishlemon's fic up there, that really was an excellent story.

Interestingly enough I'd already read 4/5 of those before now XD But it was a nice chance to go read them all again. It was a pleasant surprise to know you've read "Old Books and New Conversations", I also really liked that one.

Actually, after I read freakishlemon's fic, I wandered over to ponchoboys, there's some really great Eleven/Rory fic that isn't overtly slashy, but more, you know, thoughtful and sweet. Which is great :)

Yeah, I've been visiting there for awhile now. Slash isn't my thing really but somehow its a bit different with Eleven/Rory, and thank god not everything is overtly slashy. I've actually been pleasantly surprised at the amount of "friendship" fics the two of them have been getting, and its something that's perhaps a little different than a typical normal friendship, which is kind of how I see their relationship anyhow.

freakishlemon in particular has written already like.... three good Rory/Doctor-centric fics, the other two being "Listening" and "Miscommunication", if you haven't read them yet. Just be a bit wary of the comments which *may* have spoilers and you'll be fine.

Definitely. Of course there's that familial element that we love to discuss ;) but there was also that initial rivalry and distrust, vestiges of which might still exist, but also that idea that Rory was always a bystander to Amy and Eleven's relationship, as much as he was part of the team, which lends to the capability of him and Eleven conversing as less or more than friends.

Personally, I'm not all that keen on shipping in general, even in canon, but if it progresses as naturally as Amy and Rory in canon and Amy and Eleven in fiction, then it's only just as natural that I'll love it :)

I'm pretty sure I've read Listening... but I'll look them up both to see, thank you again! :)
