Этимология: "The species epithet is used as a noun in apposition. It refers to Galadriel (known as the Lady of Light), a character from J.R.R. Tolkien's famous novel "The Lord of the Rings". This name was chosen to signify the importance of such a species which sheds light on the poorly understood evolutionary and biogeographic history of Kimulidae, particularly their ancestral distribution in South America." (op. cit., p. 18).
