Этимология: "The specific name is a noun in apposition after the hobbits, fictional humanoid beings in the novels ‘The Hobbit’ and ‘The Lord of the Rings’, by the English writer John Ronald Reuel Tolkien. The hobbits are little, peaceful people, who do not hesitate to face powerful adversaries using cleverness and cunning in lack of physical strength. In its only known locality, this species lives in apparent syntopy with the much larger Bonnetina papalutlensis" (op. cit., с. 875).
