Apparently, I am a Game Developer. I actually did beta test Uru for Ubisoft, but I hardly feel that qualifies. But hey! Who am I to argue? It'll look good when I eventually apply for that Network Admin job at Blizzard, right

You should definitely come out climbing. I am annoyed that apparently the one Thursday at the gym I miss everyone shows up and has an extra great time.
Plenty of people climb with music player type things, but I could never do it. Being unaware of what people are yelling at any given time seems like a bad idea to me.
I imagine using music sparingly... like if I am particularly angry and need someone yelling at my brain to finish that 3-dot green because I couldn't fix some dude's lappy some day... or just rocking out. But at a volume where I could still hear people trying to save my life, I think. I'd probably give it a try. Plus, the new squat nanos are just appealing to me for some reason, despite their diminuitive storage capacity.
I want to climb more, but the problem at the moment is that left wrist is still no-go for launch. I see my doctor on the 25th, at which point I hope to find out if it is okay to support my tubby ass or not. Thursdays would probably be my day of choice, though, since my Wednesday night meeting has moved to Monday, so I wouldn't feel as bad since Wednesday I can now stay home and whatnot. I promise I will come more Thursdays, eventually. And Truly Epic Lulz will be had; bricks will be shat.
I have climbed with music before, and generally I do so when I'm alone or mostly alone and nobody is there for the beta.
If people are around, I generally don't have another on, but I am leaning towards a nano or a shuffle for the compact form and ease for strapping it on when I'm climbing.
Also, feel free to just come and hang out on Thursdays, you don't need to climb to have a good time, plus you get to see how people move and learn the techniques from watching. Half the shit I learned I learned from watching and then trying later anyways.
What model of vehicle? There are a variety of U-pick shops in Denver to choose parts from, and it's a pretty easy repair. Depending on the remainders you may just be able to use them. Also they make adhesive replacement mirrors at autozone you can stick onto the plate that cover 95% of the area you use to look anyway, much cheaper than OEM.
It's a '99 Oldsmobile Cutlass, which is the same as the '99 Chevy Malibu. I'd like to try to replace the mirror with the correct part, especially if I'm considering selling/trading in the vehicle, but I also don't want to fork over more than I'll reap in benefits for it. I like the idea of a U-Pick place, but I assume they won't tell me if they have any Oldsmobiles on the lot if I call?
I guess I just normally picture Junk Yard-type places to be very angry, even at people trying to give them money.
Jrr the game developer? Sweet! Hey, did you get a credit in the game too? That would be cool.
Actually, I have 6 or 7 friends from school who work or have worked at Ubisoft. Maybe someday I will ask them to hook me up with a job. It's really tempting. But I don't want to move to Montreal right now... hmm.
If I remember correctly, the credits for "Beta Testers" didn't appear with the actual game release, but were on a separate Ubisoft website.
Since there's been a couple of releases of the MMOG-come-not-so-M since then, though, maybe I'm in a booklet now. I shall have to check my 10th Anniversary Edition when I get home...
If I knew I could have a job at a game developer and it would pay a LOT more than my current job, I'd be willing to move, heh.
Dude, Mobygames is a weird site... I got pointed towards that site when someone ELSE of my namesake was getting credit for my work on Dawn of War... THE FIENDS. So now I have an entry in there, but no clue how to update it with further credentials...
Hey I still have a kind of contact with Blizzard, if you want a hookup, let me know, I'll get you in touch with her. She should still be good for owing me a favor.
While that is the most awesome comment I have ever had, it was mostly a joke. As awesome as it would be to work for Blizzard, I'm not so confident in my abilities as to apply for a job there for reals. Also, I realy like my currenty job and Not Moving is worth a lot, heh.
