this? this is simply perfect! I can't even express just how much I loved it - there are so many details in this story and they make it feel so real, so vivid and right in front of our eyes. and the emotions! the love, the trust... amazing, really. the way you described both Kai and Reita's and Aoi and Ruki's relationships - how different they are and how similar too, in this way that both pairs just want to make each other happy. It's such a warm story, so uplifting, so insightful (loved the way you described Ruki through Aoi's eyes) - I didn't want it to end.

I think the last scene - with Aoi making his confession - is my favorite one. and oh my, the fact that you started the story with Kai (who is my absolutely favorite Gazette's member) and that there was so much of him in this - it just made it even better.

awww, so lovely. Aoi's confession in the end was especially sweet. he really shouldn't be that scared because Ruki might feel the same already, judging how he preferred Aoi's too big clothes to his own and how much he liked the present ;) speaking of present it really was the perfect present and when you think how much thought went into it, even more so.

“I love it,” he said.

“It’s kind of lame.” He deadpanned.

Taka laughed. “It’s kind of lame.”

“But you like it?”

Taka didn’t answer, not verbally anyway, but he smiled down at the journal like he did at the compositions Yuu and Kouyou brought to him sometimes, contemplative and hopeful. Like he could see a future here, could see himself working with this, and it eventually working for all of them. Yuu liked bringing that look to Taka’s face.

this was my favorite part :) Ruki's reception of the present, admitting it is nothing special but loving it, really showed how perfect it was for him and Aoi's thoughts about Ruki in the moment, so in love~
