Ok man, though I have told you this all before, i'll do it agian in good faith. If you want a girlfriend, the first thing you will need to do is get away from your click of friends up here because that is goig to get you nowhere. It all seems to be a lost cause when you are going for the same girls that you have known and crushed on for years. My advise would be to put yourself out on the market. The way to get girls to notice you is to be in a situation to get noticed, even if that means going to a few parties that you arent too enthused about. It isnt that you have that lack of confidence anymore, it is now that you arent all over the market for girls to check you out (and no, sorority row isnt the market). Also, be assertive. If the girls seems to have interest in you, make it a little more than subtle that you have intentions to be with her, and then if you get shot down you can always deny it later...or something. It also never hurts to have a heart to heart with someone you like, though it may be hard to get the convo
