i've never felt really strongly one way or the other about Favre (except that my dad has always really respected and loved him. so maybe a part of me has inherited an innate fondness towards him).
however, watching him last night throw that interception broke my heart. he is the tragic hero.
my favorite part of your post was about how you advised your wife to drop him as qb and how she was mad at you for the whole season :) that sounds like something that would happen to me and my hubby :)
