While Mere is no doubt better than the current occupant, she is also ineligible for the Presidency.

I'm very well aware of that, which is why I did the "I don't think this is legal, but it beats what we have in the White House" line.

It would almost definitely require some debate as to whether the restrictions imposed by the 22nd ammendment also apply to the 18th. It's splitting hairs. Yes he's eligible to be President, he just can't be elected. He could for all intents and purpose run for congress, find himself speaker of the house and two scandals later find himself president. That would skip you past the 18th and the 22nd. It's a Constitutional study to say the least, but I doubt it would come to pass.

This President has already made the 18th his personal rule of law. *nudge*

Nah. That couldn't happen. He'd need to be minority leader, then slip into obscurity...so, when he was made Vice, everyone outside of Michigan New York would say "who?" And when the president resigned, and he took over, everyone would say, "Well, at least it's not Spiro Cheney."

Um, as stated in the linked Wikipedia article, the synonym for vomit is "bushusuru" (which means "to do a Bush").  I don't think "bushuru" means anything in Japanese.
